RUBBER PAVING

Rubber Paving - A Traditional Method of Paving

Rubber paving has been used on running tracks, and other applications in Europe for over seventy years. It was introduced in North America a little over 25 years ago. Over the past 10 years rubber has been making its way into residential applications like driveways, sidewalks, strata apartment entrances, and staircases. Now recycled tire granules are used to resurface driveways, pool decks, patios, porches and even playgrounds.

Can rubber resurface existing surfaces?

Yes, rubber is a perfect solution to resurface most existing surfaces like concrete and asphalt because rubber has extreme flexibility, allowing it to withstand both extremes in temperature and ground movements. Which greatly reduces the chances of further cracking.

Strata buildings, commercial properties and residential apartment buildings can benefit from the recycled rubber being poured and sculpted over existing cracked concrete, asphalt and uneven surfaces in walkways, apartment entrances, stairways and patios. Rubber flooring is a durable, flexible, low cost option that will continue to look impressive with age for many years to come.

Can rubber benefit children's playgrounds?

Our recycled rubber is a non-slip surface, which makes it popular for recreational applications in rainy Vancouver. Ice doesn’t build up on the surface, making it ideal for the Vancouver climate.

In an unlikely event of the rubber getting damage it’s easily repairable, and afterward is difficult to notice. The durable quality from recycled rubber in our paving product offers a low cost alternative to concrete, cement, pavers and many other surfaces.

Children’s playgrounds can benefit from the natural shock absorption nature of the rubber. Combined with the non slip benefit from rubber this makes rubber flooring an ideal solution for splash parks, water parks, recreation floors, and playground flooring. Rubber flooring on playgrounds last years longer than traditional wood bark mulch or stone pebbles.
